College of the Ozarks
Join us as we board a coach bus and travel to the beautiful campus at College of the Ozarks, where a student guide will share the mission, vision, and goals of this unique college. Fondly known as “Hard Work U,” C of O is a fully accredited Christian, liberal arts college located just outside of Branson, MO. The institution provides students the opportunity to work at one of more than 120 campus jobs to help pay for part of the cost of their education. These opportunities include a dairy farm, grist mill, stained glass and candle shop, and the famous shop where homemade fruitcake is made from a 1933 recipe. The remaining portion of the students’ expenses is covered through scholarships provided by gifts and contributions from donors, allowing the students to graduate debt free.

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Getting Acquainted Lunch
We will enjoy a farm to fork five-star dining experience for lunch at the Dobyns Dining Room in the Keeter Center on the college campus. The hardworking culinary staff of students will provide a warm, welcoming smile and excellent service. After lunch you can visit the on-site bakery or creamery to enjoy a student-made fresh pastry or a scoop of homemade ice cream (with fresh cream from the student dairy). You will also be able to visit the general store and campus gift shop which features an array of handcrafted student-made products, such as homemade fruitcake and jellies, pottery, and milled grains to name a few.

1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
St. James Winery – Wine Tasting
We will head over to St. James Winery, Missouri’s largest and most awarded winery. Italian immigrants settled in the St. James area of the Meramec Highlands in the late 1800s. The railroad carried them to new and inexpensive land where the immigrants built a life and eventually began to use their agricultural knowledge to grow high-quality Concord grapes. The now-famous Velvet Red and Velvet White remain a hallmark of the St. James Winery lineup. Here we will wind down the afternoon and enjoy a relaxing time where you can sample an array of their wines, relax on the beautiful patio, and browse through their gift shop.

4:15 p.m. – approximate arrival back at the Branson Convention Center

6:00 p.m. - 10:15 p.m.
